Hornet, the gay social networking app, has released a new series entitled “Ask A Pro.”

The video series features health experts answering common questions men have around gay men’s health.

There are still many questions that exist around PrEP, undetectable, and living with HIV and these videos address those questions in a concise and easy to understand fashion. While there have been a number of educational campaigns around various health issues gay men continue to have concerns about to prevent HIV or STI’s and what might be the real world impacts of an HIV diagnosis.

Ask A Pro is an ongoing series that will allow Hornet’s community of users to ask direct questions and receive answers that are accurate and useful. The series utilizes health experts who are gay men and can speak to the issues both as professionals and gay men who encountered these issues ad part of their lived experiences.

The Ask A Pro series is not just limited to the United States. There is a version from Mexico with information in Spanish and a version from Taiwan in Mandarin. The information provided can be of practical use to Spanish and Chinese speaking queer men around the globe. This first series will produce over six 1-minute videos in each language and similar videos are in production in Paris and Sao Paulo.

“Queer men will always have questions about sexual health issues and we are delighted that we can be a useful resource to our online community. This series allows us to directly engage with our community and help address their health concerns. We are committed to ensuring that our audience has as much information as possible so they can make informed decisions about their health”, said Alex Garner, Hornet’s Senior Health Innovation Strategist and one of the health experts featured in the video series.
